Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of services and parts by Mustang Auto Repairs (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the customer (“you”, “your”) in respect of your vehicle (“Vehicle”). By booking or authorising work, you agree to the following terms.

1. Definitions

1.1 “Work” means all labour, parts, repairs, services, diagnostics, maintenance, inspections, installation or fitting of goods supplied by us.
1.2 “Estimate” means our written or verbal estimate of cost/time for Work.
1.3 “Goods” means parts, components, accessories, or materials supplied by us or on our behalf.
1.4 “Authorisation” means your approval (verbal or written) allowing us to proceed with Work.

2. Formation of Contract

2.1 A contract is formed when you provide us with Authorisation of Work (via booking, verbal/written instruction or payment of a deposit).
2.2 Your authorisation confirms you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.

3. Estimates & Pricing

3.1 All Estimates are valid for 7 days from issue, unless otherwise stated.
3.2 We include GST in accordance with the requirements of NSW Fair Trading.
3.3 Estimates are approximate unless expressly stated as “fixed price.” Additional costs may apply where further faults, complications, or extra work are required.
3.4 Any variation in cost or scope is subject to customer approval before proceeding.

4. Authorisation & Customer Responsibilities

4.1 You warrant that you are the registered owner or authorised agent to approve the Work.
4.2 You must provide full and accurate details of the Vehicle and any relevant history or known faults.
4.3 You agree to allow us to inspect, test, or dismantle components of the Vehicle as necessary to diagnose and repair.
4.4 If customer-supplied parts are used, we accept no liability for those parts unless we have inspected and approved them in writing beforehand.

5. Parts, Materials & Goods

5.1 Goods supplied by us remain our property until paid in full.
5.2 Warranty on parts is subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
5.3 Replaced or old parts will be discarded the same working day after the work is completed, unless you request to retain them during repair approval.

6. Payment & Charges

6.1 Payment in full is required upon completion of Work unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 We accept EFTPOS, credit card, or bank transfer. Fees may apply for certain payment types.
6.3 Deposits may be required for ordering special parts or committing to major Work.
6.4 Late payments may incur additional charges or collection fees as permitted by law.

7. Vehicle Collection & Storage

7.1 Once notified that the Vehicle is ready, it must be collected within 3 business days.
7.2 After this period, storage fees may apply until collection.

8. Warranty

8.1 Warranty duration depends on the part or type of work completed — typically 6 to 12 months — and will be clearly stated before or after repairs.
8.2 Warranty covers workmanship and supplied parts, excluding misuse, neglect, racing, or modifications.
8.3 Warranty claims must include proof of service and a valid invoice.
8.4 Warranty on supplied parts follows manufacturer or supplier terms.

9. Liability & Limitation

9.1 Our liability is limited to re-performing the Work or refunding its cost, as permitted under Australian Consumer Law.

9.3 You are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance for your Vehicle and belongings.

10. Subcontracting & External Services

10.1 We may engage electricians, other mechanics, or external service providers to perform specialised tasks.
10.2 In some cases, we may recommend you to an external provider directly.
10.3 You authorise us to share necessary vehicle information with such parties as required to complete the Work.

11. Cancellation & Rescheduling

11.1 Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment to avoid potential charges.

12. Workshop Access & Safety

12.1 Subject to approval and at our discretion, we may invite you into the workshop to show you any damage or work that needs to be done before starting repairs.
12.2 For safety reasons, unauthorised entry into the work area is not permitted unless accompanied by staff.

13. Disposal of Parts

13.1 If you wish to retain any replaced parts, you must inform us during repair approval. Otherwise, they will be discarded immediately after repairs.

14. Governing Law & Privacy

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
14.2 We handle customer data in accordance with Australian Privacy Laws and will not share personal information except as required to complete the Work.
